Slow And Steady

So apparently I signed up on blogspot to be a stalker. This is my very first post & really don't care if anyone lurks or follows me. This is for me. My profile picture is of me & a tortoise that showed up in our garage last summer. He was huge. See how I'm holding him. We named him Dude. Dude is my pet's name on Facebook, of course he's a tortoise too. So, my toy poodle Maverick went into grief when his first buddy went to the tortoise sanctuary. He kept looking for him & crying at the window. I figured that it was appropriate that my 10yr old daughter has been memorizing the story "The Tortoise & the Hare" for storytelling at school. A perfect chapter in a tortoise world.
